Do you know any students who identify from the African Diaspora who could benefit from a group that integrates learned skills and processing with the goal of achieving effective and healthy lifestyle solutions?

Group that will integrate learned skills and processing to achieve effective and healthy solutions; for students from the African Diaspora. Students will process their thoughts, feelings, ideas, and experiences (personally, academically, and professionally), while focusing on healthy solutions and integrating the following learned skills: distress tolerance, mindfulness, emotion regulation, interpersonal effectiveness. Ms. Jacque Tara Washington, LCSW-R, facilitator, is a social worker in Counseling and Psychological Services here at Ithaca College. As a mental health therapist, Jacque has taught these dialectical behavioral skills for almost 10 years in individual and group settings. Starting 2.1.17 and ending 5.3.17; Wednesdays, 3-4:30 pm; 90 minutes in length.
