Contributed on behalf of Dr. Timothy Carey, Associate Vice President, Facilities I am saddened to inform you of the passing of Brenda Hatch, a valued member of the Facilities team and campus community. Brenda passed away on Friday, January 13th following an illness. Brenda began working at Ithaca College in August 2007 and worked primarily on the third shift. She bears the distinction of being one of the first female Facilities Services employees to achieve the elevated status of “Facility Attendant II” in 2012. Brenda led several projects, and was always willing to be helpful. She was well liked by her coworkers and was a tremendous asset to the 3rd shift team. Perhaps more than anything, Brenda was a family person; she would always take the time to talk about her children and family. She will most assuredly be missed. I invite you to read the complete on-line obituary, as posted on the Ithaca Journal’s site. Information about a memorial service scheduled for this coming Sunday, January 22nd, as well as donation opportunities are listed therein.
