Thank you to everyone who came out to the MLK Campus Wide Celebration events the past two days, including the School of Music concert, Tuesday’s educational sessions, and the Tuesday afternoon keynote speaker!

Yesterday, Dr. Russell John Rickford addressed the crowd in Emerson Suites and spoke on the tactics used by those in power to continue oppress those not in power, the importance of fostering political consciousness, and the power of grassroots social movements, such as Black Lives Matter. His talk provided a unique and moving perspective on our theme, “The Ultimate Weakness of Violence.”
