Come join IC PRSSA for its first general body meeting tonight in Park 285, at 7pm!

We are happy to be one of the 300 collegiate PRSSA chapters across the United States which are focused on refining communication skills and forging career paths for its members. Our chapter is comprised of driven individuals who seek to become professionals and advance their public relations careers early on. As an organization, we are motivated to empower our members via professional development, personal brand management and philanthropic enterprise.

Our weekly meetings include Skype sessions with industry professionals (previous companies include NBA, Huffington Post, Edelman), fundraising, resume/LinkedIn workshops, and working on strategic PR plans for real clients. This semester, our big fundraising event is our annual Swish for Make-A-Wish, a basketball tournament for the Make a Wish Foundation. Last spring, we raised over $5,000 for the Make-A-Wish foundation! We will be breaking into three teams (Sponsorship/Donations, Social Media/Promotions, and Team Management), and each member will have the opportunity to gain great hands-on experience in planning and executing a huge and successful event.
