Please join your colleagues for reading and discussion of Shakil Choudhury's, Deep Diversity. Choudhury examines issues of diversity at home and abroad through an accessible style that integrates observations, scientific evidence and his own personal background. He effectively engages one's mind and heart, framing a new conversation with his "four pillars of deep diversity." "His words are honest and disarming and the book’s framework is both original and needed." (Mahzarin R Banaji, Co-founder of Project Implicit, Harvard University, Richard Clarke Cabot Professor of Social Ethics, Department of Psychology) Our intention is to create opportunities for us to meet, discuss, and learn from each other. We anticipate four meetings for the spring semester, and are offering 2 session choices, Tuesday at 9:30 am and Wednesday at 4:00 pm, beginning mid-February. Please indicate your interest by February 8th and we can take it from there.
