The City of Ithaca will be closing a portion of South Aurora St./Rt. 96B near Ithaca College on Monday and Tuesday, Feb. 6-7. Motorists will need to use an alternate route while a new water service line is being installed. The project is planned to start at 7:30 a.m. on Monday, and be completed by 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The schedule is subject to change.

South Aurora St./Rt. 96B will be closed to through traffic from the intersection of Coddington Rd. to the intersection of Hudson St. for the duration of the work. Local residential and emergency access will be maintained, but through traffic will be detoured.

Traffic headed south (uphill) from the City of Ithaca on South Aurora St. will be detoured to Hudson St. Motorists going to Ithaca College can either proceed to the back entrance to campus, or turn right onto Hudson Place and right again onto Coddington Rd. to return to Danby Rd./Rt. 96B to get to the main entrance.

Traffic headed north (downhill) from the college into the City of Ithaca should either leave by the back entrance, or turn right from Danby Rd./Rt. 96B onto Coddington Road, then left on Hudson Place, then left again down Hudson St. to the intersection with South Aurora St.
