ENVS Lecturer Xanthe Matychak is working with local electronics company, Wicked Device, on an NSF SBIR-funded project to develop technology that empowers students to design, conduct, and share air quality experiments with a global network. 

 Xanthe and the team believe that it's important, now more than ever, to teach science and technology in a way that positions students to address problems in their own communities. Xanthe created the "Make Better Stuff Lab" for ENVS, a lab in which students use "maker" technology to explore social and environmental issues.
