DIIS is excited to unveil apps.ithaca.edu (beta), a preview version of a new centralized hub for providing quick and easy access to most web-based applications used across campus, including Office365 (email, calendar), Sakai, HomerConnect, Parnassus, and many others.  In the coming months we will be evolving the apps.ithaca.edu site to provide more seamless access to many of these services.

Over time we will be adding single-sign-on functionality, and separate views for students, faculty and staff, among other features.  This initial preview release is intended to get your feedback on the direction we’re headed.

The myhome.ithaca.edu service which provides some similar functionality will continue to be supported for the immediate future.  In the longer term we expect that myhome.ithaca.edu will be phased out as apps.ithaca.edu and our other services evolve.

Apps.ithaca.edu (beta) represents one of many initiatives that we are working on to improve the experience for you over the coming year.  We are also working on a completely redesigned DIIS Web site to provide you with quick information about IT services, a new self-service tool for submitting and tracking DIIS service requests, a new project management site where you can submit and view information about IT-related projects, and more.
