IC CSTEP participants Theo Alexander ‘18, Allan Bowen ‘17 and Ambra Munlyn ‘17, will each be presenting their research at the 31st Annual National Conference on Undergraduate Research in Memphis, Tennessee on April 6-8, 2017.

The Council on Undergraduate Research (CUR) and its affiliated colleges, universities, and individuals share a focus on providing undergraduate research opportunities for faculty and students at all institutions serving undergraduate students. CUR believes that students succeed in their studies and professional advancement through participation in undergraduate research. CUR also provides information on the importance of undergraduate research to state legislatures, private foundations, government agencies, and the U.S. Congress.

The Ithaca College Collegiate Science Technology Entry Program (CSTEP) is structured under the Office of State Grants (OSG) and supports historically underrepresented and economically disadvantaged groups from New York State who are pursuing professional licensure and careers in mathematics, science, engineering, technology, and health-related STEM fields.

OSG provides intrusive academic support services to eligible Ithaca College students participating in the Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program (CSTEP), the Careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (CSTEM) program and the Arthur O. Eve Higher Education Opportunity Program (HEOP). The Ithaca College CSTEP and HEOP programs are funded in part through the Office of Postsecondary Access, Support and Success (OPASS) at the New York State Department of Education.
