Paula Vogel’s one-act play “The Baltimore Waltz” is set to take the Earl McCarroll Studio Theatre stage in Ithaca College’s Dillingham Center. Performances will be held on Saturday, March 25th at 8:00 pm, Sunday, March 26th at 2:00 pm and 8:00 pm, and Monday, March 27th at 8:00 pm. This production is directed by Olivia Dillon ’17.

Tickets for “The Baltimore Waltz” are free but reservations are required. To reserve tickets, e-mail icstudio2tam@gmail.com and indicate a first and second choice of performance date and time. All tickets are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, and must be picked up at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start of the performance.

“The Baltimore Waltz” follows brother and sister duo, Anna and Carl, on their adventures through Europe as they search for a cure for Anna’s fictitious, fatal illness, Acquired Toilet Disease. Anna is visited by the Third Man who takes on multiple forms in order to guide her on her journey. Based on the true story of Vogel's brother's death from AIDS, the Pulitzer Prize winning playwright brings erotic storytelling and wild visions to life on stage. Director Dillon says that the play “circles us through not only a whirlwind, satirical, slapstick, film noir, raucously raunchy European exploration, but also a meditative tour on the kaleidoscopic forms of desire, loss, and love.”

The cast of “The Baltimore Waltz” includes Cara Bachman ’19, Will Champion ’18, and James Counihan '19. The creative team includes stage manager Amanda Balter '19, scenic designer Rodrigo Hernandez '19, costume designer Graham Lessard-Brandt '19, sound designer Jordan del Pino '19, assistant sound designer Christopher DiNapoli '19, assistant director Devin Gately ’19, lighting designer Indigo Shea ’19, properties coordinator Alex Jarus ’19, and assistant stage manager Lauren Zurovitch '20.
