Former Marvel editor Jim Shooter and famous comic book author Rodger Stern will speak on Saturday, March 26 at noon in Klingenstein Lounge.

 

Roger has written Guardians of the Galaxy, Spider-Man, Captain America, Doctor Strange, Iron Man, and The Avengers for Marvel Comics, and Superman, the Atom, Starman, and the Justice League for DC. In addition to his comics work, he has written three novels, including the New York Times' best-seller, The Death and Life of Superman. Marvel's Spider-Man by Roger Stern Omnibus reprints his entire first run on Spider-Man.

 Jim Shooter was hired by Marvel Comics in 1976 as associate editor and in 1978 became Editor in Chief. Jim went on to found Voyager Communications in 1989, act as Editor in Chief for the VALIANT imprint, and founded DEFIANT and Broadway Comics. At Currently, Jim serves as Creative Director and Editor in Chief for Illustrated Media Group which has provided creative services to clients including Intel, the Mill Pond Group, Dark Horse and more.
