The following is the charge for the team:

Transition Team Charge

The Transition Team is charged by the Board of Trustees with the development and implementation of a transition process which will enable our new president, Dr. Collado, to quickly learn institutional history, culture, strengths, opportunities, and challenges.  The team is advisory in nature and is not intended to replace institutional organizational and governance structures.  The team is charged with:

  • Creating an outreach plan to internal members of the campus community with a focus on providing multiple opportunities to meet with different people to listen to stories, hopes, and suggestions related to Ithaca College.
  • Developing an orientation for Dr. Collado which engages members of the college community (faculty, staff, and students) through various formats and interaction opportunities for all functional areas of the College.
  • Coordinating briefing materials from campus governance groups.
  • Communicating regularly with the campus community on the components and implementation of the transition process.
  • Developing a list of key external stakeholders (local leaders, state and federal representatives, alumni, donors, etc.) and planning for events to introduce Dr. Collado to these stakeholders.
  • Providing an advisory and learning support network for Dr. Collado during the first year of her presidency.
  • Regularly communicating with the board on the transition process.

The transition team will conduct its work beginning in April 2017 and continuing through the first year of Dr. Collado’s presidency.

I wish to thank all of the members of the transition team for their willingness to serve during this very important time at Ithaca College. You will be hearing more from the team as they get underway with their work.
