Message from Board Chair Tom Grape on Transition TeamContributed by Eileen Jacobs on 04/06/17 Contributed on behalf of Tom Grape '80, chairman of the Board of Trustees It is a recommended practice in higher education for the Board of Trustees to appoint a transition team to assist with the planning for the welcoming of a new president to the campus community and to provide support throughout the first year of the presidency. I am pleased to share with you that Jason Freitag, Associate Professor of History, and Nancy Pringle, Senior Vice President, will be co-chairing the campus Transition Team. The other members of the Team include: Faculty: Duncan Duke Garcia, Faculty, School of Business Staff Nicole Eversley Bradwell, Director of Admission Students: Ezeka Allen, School of Business The following is the charge for the team: Transition Team Charge The Transition Team is charged by the Board of Trustees with the development and implementation of a transition process which will enable our new president, Dr. Collado, to quickly learn institutional history, culture, strengths, opportunities, and challenges. The team is advisory in nature and is not intended to replace institutional organizational and governance structures. The team is charged with:
The transition team will conduct its work beginning in April 2017 and continuing through the first year of Dr. Collado’s presidency. I wish to thank all of the members of the transition team for their willingness to serve during this very important time at Ithaca College. You will be hearing more from the team as they get underway with their work. |
