In order to help people more easily identify and locate Outlook calendar room resources, DIIS will be revising resource names as necessary to include the building and room number.

As an example, a room that is now called "Staff Meeting Room" would be changed to "Job 123 - Staff Meeting Room" to clearly identify the room's location. Note that existing meetings already scheduled for that room will retain the original meeting room name - Outlook will know that the old name and new name refer to the same location. Non-room resources (such as equipment or vehicles) will not be renamed.

Over the coming weeks, DIIS will be reaching out to each designated room owner to verify room locations. The room names will be changed gradually as we work with room owners to coordinate the name change and communicate the change to their primary room schedulers. Our goal is to have the changes completed by the end of June, and we will announce the completion of the renaming process via Intercom. Please contact the Service Desk with questions.
