Law enforcement agencies continue to search for a suspect from a trespassing incident that took place on Tuesday, April 18, on property across Rt. 96B from the Ithaca College campus. While he has not been seen on campus and there is no known threat to the college community, authorities believe he may still be in the Ithaca area. Two weapons that were earlier believed to have been carried by the suspect have been recovered by authorities. The investigation is being led by the Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office, which has posted a news release: As noted in the news release, the suspect is Jason R. Fisher, age 42, who is described as a balding white male with blue eyes, approximately 6’0’ tall and 190 lbs., with a tattoo of two wavy lines on the front of his neck and a large blue star on the right side of his neck. He was last thought to be wearing a black T-shirt and black pants. Anyone who has information on his whereabouts should contact the Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office at 607-272-2444 or on the TipLine at 607-266-5420. As always, in an emergency, dial 9-1-1. The Ithaca College Office of Public Safety will have elevated staffing levels throughout the night, with active patrols on foot and in vehicles around campus.
