IC students and other people in the Ithaca community are hosting a massive event on April 22nd at 4pm in the Commons that will empower people to transform our area through loving acts of kindness and focus on unity. Believe in Love is inspired by the Love Button Global Movement, an organization featured in last year’s Super Bowl.

Emmanuel Kelly is our headliner, and he is one of the most inspirational people we've ever heard of, he did a duet with Coldplay, and his X-Factor video got over 33 million views! We also have Dr. Sadeghi as our keynote speaker. He's flying in from California and has given a TED Talk, is a world-renowned doctor, and is the founder of Love Button.

We will be volunteering all over the area and then coming together in celebration of love and various social justice causes at the Ithaca Commons where we will have performances and speakers. Speakers will address issues like race, the environment (our event is on Earth Day), the LGBTQ+ community, mental health, poverty, addiction, religion, and disabilities and how all of these topics relate to love. We want people of every age, race, religion, sexuality, and social class to come together and unite to put loving one another to center stage, especially at a time when our nation needs it. We hope you’ll participate, spread the word, and join us.

Let's unite people during this divisive time. Check out our Facebook event here for more information and updates: bit.ly/loveithaca. Invite all of your friends! Also, you can watch our promotional video: bit.ly/2oJAnI0. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to email ithacabelieveinlove@gmail.com.

Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact Chris Biehn at cbiehn1@ithaca.edu or (607) 274-3103. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible.
