Public Safety reminds you that finals week is one of our peak periods annually for thefts and property loss. Common contributing factors include items left unattended while studying, working in unfamiliar places around unfamiliar people, and residential spaces left empty for long periods of the day (especially when left unsecured). Remember some of our common tips for protecting your property - secure your most valuable items, lock your room, and always be thoughtful about your surroundings. If you find something of yours has gone missing, check out our suggested actions and found property list online at www.ithaca.edu/sacl/safety/lost_and_found, and if you suspect a theft report it promptly to Public Safety at 607-274-3333. |
