This Saturday Ithaca College will commission two of its graduates into the US Army.

Alek H. Peters, a business administration major, will be commissioned a 2LT in the Transportation Corps and Kerry A. Schultz, an environmental studies major will be commissioned a 2LT in Air Defense Artillery.  

ROTC cadets select their three preferences for assignment to the branch of their choice.  The branches from which the cadets select their preference are Air Defense Artillery, Aviation, Armor, Infantry, Engineer, Military Police, Military Intelligence, Signal Corps, Chemical Corps, Transportation Corps, Finance Corps, Quartermaster, Ordinance, Army Nurse Corps, and Medical Corps.

2LT Schultz is the first female IC graduate to be assigned to combat arms.

Family and friends are encouraged to attend their commissioning ceremony this Saturday, May 20, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. in Klingenstein Lounge.
