Janet Millspaugh, R.N., is retiring from her position as a nurse at the Hammond Health Center after 30 years of service.

She has worked as a clinic nurse as well as her current position as Lab Result Nurse. In addition to this role, she coordinates with the local health department and chairs the Infection Control Committee at the Health Center.

Janet started her career as an L.P.N. working in various settings such as Pacific Institute of Rehab Medicine in Hawaii, Lakeside Nursing Home, and Cayuga Medical Center. She went back to school after her children were born and obtained her R.N. degree from Tompkins Cortland Community College. She continued to work at Cayuga Medical Center as a registered nurse and then came to Ithaca College in December of 1986.

Janet is an active member of her community of Trumansburg. She is involved in her church and sings in the choir. She enjoys the outdoors. In the winter, you may see her snowshoeing or cross-country skiing. In the summer, she loves to be at the lake, in either a boat, kayak or paddleboard. She is devoted to her family and is looking forward to having more time to spend with them.

Janet has cared for many students through the years, helping them achieve wellness from direct care and education. The students and the staff will dearly miss her as she retires in order to pursue her other varied interests.

Best Wishes to Janet Millspaugh, RN in her Retirement! | 0 Comments |
