Dr. Sean Eversley Bradwell, Director of Programs and Outreach within the Division for Educational Affairs has been re-elected to the ICSD Board of Education.Contributed by Stephanie St. John on 05/21/17 Posted on behalf of Dr. Roger (Doc) Richardson Dr. Sean Eversley Bradwell, Director of Programs and Outreach within the Division for Educational Affairs, was recently re-elected to the ICSD Board of Education. Please join me in congratulating Dr. Sean Eversley Bradwell on his fourth (4th) consecutive election to the Ithaca City School District Board of Education. With the most recent election and budget vote, Dr. Bradwell was elected to continue serving until June 30, 2020. Dr. Bradwell began serving on the ICSD Board of Education after the completion of his dissertation research in 2008 from Cornell University’s Policy Analysis and Management Department. With a specific research focus on education inequity and policy, Dr. Bradwell attempted to put theory and practice together by running for public office. He was first elected to serve on the ICSD Board of Education for a term from 2009-2012. For the past 8 years, Dr. Bradwell has not only served on the ICSD Board, he has been elected to numerous leadership roles. Dr. Bradwell was elected to serve as Chair of the ad-hoc Superintendent Search Committee (2010); Chair of the Facilities Committee (2014-16); Chair of the Policy Committee (2010-present); and currently serves as the Vice President of the ICSD Board of Education (2016-present). Dr. Bradwell’s commitment to the larger Ithaca community is in keeping with a long-standing tradition of Ithaca College civic engagement. I would also like to take this time to thank all of our students, faculty and staff who so willingly give their time to support equality in our city. Thank you to all who work untold hours in support of community-wide inclusive excellence. We can make it happen here. |
