Ithaca College

Last week, personnel representing police agencies from around the region participated in 24th annual Police Mountain Bike School at Ithaca College.  The curriculum for this program was developed right here at IC in 1993 under the leadership of Ithaca College Office of Public Safety officers, and still remains the training standard for police biking instruction throughout the region.

18 students graduated from this year's program, under the instruction and leadership of Public Safety personnel including Master Patrol Officer Chris Teribury, Master Patrol Officer Jon Elmore, and Master Security Officer Wendy Lewis.  They represented municipal police agencies from as far away as Long Island and some of our fellow college police agencies as well, including SUNY Brockport, SUNY Geneseo, and Nazareth College.  Congratulations and job well done to all of the Bike School graduates and to our IC staff who instructed and supported them along the way!
