Engaging Communities 2017

Contributed by Jane Ray on 07/27/17

The 8th annual Engaging Communities Luncheon will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2017, from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. in Emerson Suites.  Our guest speaker will be Dr. Beverly Daniel Tatum author of the National Bestselling book Why Are All The Black Kids Sitting Together In The Cafeteria

"Sometimes the assumptions we make about others come not from what we have been told or what we have seen on television or in books, but rather from what we have not been told. The distortion of historical information about people of color leads young people (and older people to) to make assumptions that may go unchallenged for a long time.” Dr. Beverly Daniel Tatum

Be part of a thought provoking conversation and enjoy a multicultural meal.

Space is limited.  RSVP is required by September 1, 2017. To RSVP please visit the Office of Human Resources website at https://www.ithaca.edu/hr/engagingcommunities.
