The following message is being provided on behalf of Ernie McClatchie, Director of Maintenance, Grounds and Transportation:

Due to unforeseen contractor mechanical problems, the temporary closures related to the paving of Grant Egbert Blvd., between Alumni Circle and Textor Circle, will be extended through Thursday, August 17th.  

Wednesday’s work will be focused mostly on the preparation of the North bound lane, while Thursday’s work will entail the paving of both the North and South bound lanes. 

While work is being completed either the North bound or South bound lane will be closed and a detour put in place for that lane while the other lane remains open.  Signage will be in place to notify drivers of the lane closure as well as detour signage.  Detours will make use of Route 96B, Coddington Road, and Farm Pond Road.
