Beginning with the Fall 2017 semester, Ithaca College will require all members of the campus community and visitors who frequently come to campus during weekdays (M-F 8AM – 5PM) to verify their state issued accessible hang tag with Parking Services.

In a collaborative effort with Human Recourses, Student Accessibility Services and the Office of the General Council, Parking Services announces a new initiative to insure that every person with a state issued accessible parking permit has access to campus parking facilities.  This new policy was also reviewed and endorsed by the Parking Policy Advisory Committee, a representative group of students, faculty and staff.

Beginning with the Fall 2017 semester, Ithaca College will require all members of the campus community and visitors who frequently come to campus during weekdays (M-F 8AM – 5PM) to verify their state issued accessible hang tag with Parking Services.

All students, staff, faculty members and frequent visitors with temporary or permanent parking accessibly needs who have received a state-issued accessible hangtag will be required to obtain an Ithaca College accessibility registration sticker to affix to the back of their rear view mirror. Ithaca College Parking Services will not issue accessible stickers to those who do not have a state-issued accessible hangtag.  An Ithaca College parking permit is required in addition to a registered state issued accessible hangtag.

Customers with accessible parking needs must apply to receive a complimentary Ithaca College validation sticker by Friday September 29, 2017.

To apply, an applicant must bring the following items to Parking Services:

  •  State-issued accessible parking permit (copies will not be accepted)
  •  Driver License
  •  If a hangtag is issued from a state other than New York a registrant must bring in documentation from the issuing municipality or department of motor vehicles that proves the hangtag was issued to them.
