We are pleased to sponsor up to five internship positions with the Cornell Cooperative Extension's Master Composter program. Students from any major may apply for an internship in compost education beginning in February 2018. Interns will become Master Composters of Tompkins County by the end of the spring semester and then serve as compost educators at Ithaca College and throughout Tompkins County. Master Composters are a diverse and enthusiastic group of community volunteers who have fun while helping others reduce waste, improve gardens, and protect the environment. By the end of the internship, students will have experience staffing information booths, planning large outreach events, evaluating compost practices and bins, and collaborating with others to deliver effective educational programs. This internship with Cornell Cooperative Extension's Compost Education Program is designed to help build your leadership skills and confidence as an educator. For more information and requirements, please visit the CCE of Tompkins County website. Deadline to apply is 30 October 2017. |
