Results from a town-gown collaborative experiment" discussed the results of a “real world” experimental study investigating the effects of social marketing techniques on homeowner energy conservation behavior. Kathryn Caldwell, Assistant Professor of Psychology, together with Elisabeth Harrod, General Manager of Snug Planet, shared results from their study, “Can Psychology Help Promote Homeowner Energy Conservation? Results from a town-gown collaborative experiment.”This “real world” experimental study investigates the effects of social marketing techniques on homeowner energy conservation behavior. The project is funded by a three-year contract with the New York State Energy Research Association (NYSERDA).
