The Ithaca Achievement Program (iAP) is a community of learners and an additional resource for students of color; providing a space for cultural familiarity and validation along their collegiate journey at IC. In addition to conversations around success, receiving an official degree of failure, community building, breakout sessions on academic success for 1st-Year Students and the "Social Changes of the Sophomore Year", students were asked at the 2 kick off (9/1-9/2) "Why do you achieve? What motivates your ambition as a college student?" CLICK HERE to see what they had to say (or visit https://iapithacacollege.tumblr.com/ ). Students are asked to share, anonymously, and answer authentically knowing this information will be accessible by others. Throughout the year, they are encouraged to revisit the wall as a spark to reignite their determination to achieve their own self defined success. Everyone has a “why” behind the “how” and “what” they do each day at Ithaca College. The students of the Ithaca Achievement Program have identified their “why” and encourage you to keep your own “why” at heart. |
