Ever heard of a ZAP panel? Wish there was an opportunity for staff to hear LGBTQ students speak about their experiences and answer your questions? Come to this event to further your understanding and create a dialogue.

A ZAP panel is a specific type of educational program aimed at learning about the diversity of experiences of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and allied people. That learning takes place as student panelists share their short personal stories about being an LGBT or allied person and provide an opportunity for the audience to ask questions. 

The goal of a ZAP panel is to educate and demonstrate the diversity of experiences of LGBTQ and allied individuals. Putting names, faces, and stories to the labels used in everyday life adds a layer of human understanding and leads to increased tolerance, acceptance, and respect for the IC campus community and beyond.

Please join us on October 18 at Noon in Kling Lounge as we learn from our students about how we can support them at Ithaca College.
