The Diversity & Inclusion Discussion Circle will host a ZAP Panel on Wednesday, October 18 at noon in the Campus Center, Klingenstein Lounge.

A ZAP panel is a specific type of educational program aimed at learning about the diversity of experiences of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and allied people. That learning takes place as student panelists share their short personal stories about being an LGBT or allied person and provide an opportunity for the audience to ask questions.

The goal of a ZAP panel is to educate and demonstrate the diversity of experiences of LGBTQ and allied individuals. Putting names, faces, and stories to the labels used in everyday life adds a layer of human understanding and leads to increased tolerance, acceptance, and respect for the IC campus community and beyond.

Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact Tammy Sritecha at tsritecha@ithaca.edu or (607) 274-1501. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible.

(Please email a request to tsritecha@ithaca.edu if you would like to join the D&I Discussion Circle Sakai site.)
