Ask Big Questions: Who is in Your Community?Contributed by Sean Eversley Bradwell on 10/24/17 On Wednesday October 25th, from 6-8 PM, students are invited to Emerson Suites for the first in a four-part Ask Big Questions (ABQ) series. Students will share a catered dinner and engage in a guided dialogue around the question, “Who is in your community?”. Ask Big Questions uses a three-part model that is deceptively simple, yet radically transformative.
Utilizing this model, ABQ participants engage in healthy, listening-focused conversations about questions of meaning. ABQ is focused on creating a brave space for students to participate in deep reflection and active listening. The result is an increased investment in community well-being. In fact, 94% of participants in ABQ conversations report feeling more connected to their communities after just one conversation. What happens when we really listen to and dialogue with each other? Hopefully, we take responsibility for building an expanded definition of OUR community. For more information, contact Lauren Goldberg (lgoldberg2@ithaca.edu or 607-274-3323).
