VoiceThread: Beginning to Engage - Upcoming WorkshopsContributed by Marilyn Dispensa on 10/22/17 The Center for Faculty Excellence and the Teaching and Learning Technology (IT) group collaborate to offer a hands-on experience for you to learn how to use VoiceThread. As an online environment for teaching, VoiceThread is an asynchronous, highly interactive tool that allows you and your students to engage with a variety of media. The use of VoiceThread is free at Ithaca College. Our site license allows you to use VoiceThread with an IC login and integrate the tool easily with Sakai. Many faculty on campus are already using it as part of their course design with promising results. Please join us as you plan for increasing student engagement in your upcoming courses. We offer two sessions:

Each module will take you through a series of activities that allow you to:
How much time will it take? Work on your own time and at your own speed. Each module should take you no more than 1 hour to complete. The maximum time requirement is about 3 hours over the period of eight days. What will you learn? The three modules will give you a beginning understanding of the tool and how it can be used with your students. Module 1: Exploring Possibilities
Module 2: Creating Community
Module 3: Managing Your Course
