Digital Storytelling Abroad: Info Session on Summer Journalism Course in ItalyContributed by Anthony C. Adornato on 10/21/17 An information session will be held at 12:10 p.m. on Tuesday, November 7 in Park 283. (Pizza provided!) Alumni from the course will chat about their experiences. What's it like to report in a foreign country? Build your portfolio of work and expand your digital storytelling skills while immersed in Italian life and culture. Journalism professor Anthony Adornato will be teaching a four-week multimedia journalism course in Urbino, Italy. A Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and a former White House photographer also teach as part of the Urbino program. The course is open to journalism and non-journalism majors. Students will study photography, international reporting, and video, and will produce a website about the people, places, and culture of the region.Read all the students' stories on the 2017 Urbino Project website. Students live at the University of Urbino and collaborate with Urbino students who serve as translators and interpreters in the field. At this session, learn more about the course, part of the Institute for Education in International Media, which focuses on study abroad opportunities for communications students.
