Please join the History Department for "A Journalist Looks Back on Writing Alaskan History" with Ithaca College 1967 graduate Michael Carey.

Friends 201 at 4pm on Friday, 3rd of November

After graduating from Ithaca College with BA in History, Michael Carey eventually returned home to Alaska where he embarked on a 50 year career as a journalist. Most of that work was with the Alaska Dispatch News. In addition to his many years as the editorial page editor and columnists for the Anchorage newspaper, Mr. Carey played an important role in documenting and writing about the history of Alaska. He continues to write on a wide range of topics, from early twentieth-century gold rushes to Sarah Palin.
