Zoe Mendrysa to present at Honors Conference in Atlanta, GAContributed by Kathi Powers on 11/07/17 Zoe Mendrysa “19 (Major - Biology) has been selected as a presenter during the 52nd annual conference to be held by the National Collegiate Honors Council in Atlanta, Georgia. Zoe has been selected to present their session entitled, “Chlamydia Virulence Factors Subvert Host Cell Apoptosis” on November 11 2017. Her research will highlight Chlamydia trachomitis and host cell interactions by using hypothetical proteins to determine organelle localization. The national submission process for the NCHC annual conference is highly selective, with hundreds of students and faculty submitting proposals each year. While in Atlanta, Zoe will have the opportunity to explore the city of Atlanta through NCHC’s City as TextTM Program, network with other honors students and faculty from across the country and around the world, and celebrate the unique community created by honors education.
