A retirement reception will be held for Karen Serbonich to celebrate her 14 years of service.

Please join us in wishing Karen well in her retirement at a reception on Monday, November 13, 2017 in the Klingenstein Lounge from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm. Karen’s last day of work will be Friday, November 17, 2017.

Karen began her career at Ithaca College in July of 2003 in the Office of Mail Services. After serving as the Director of Mail Services for 12 years Karen was selected to be Ithaca College’s Director of General Services in 2015, overseeing both Mail Services and Print Production, a role that she has performed with distinction.

During her time on campus Karen has been known for her sense of humor, her commitment to customer service, her work to identify efficiencies and cost savings opportunities, and also for inadvertently stealing pens wherever she goes.

In 2013 Karen received national recognition from the Association of College and University Mail Services (ACUMS) when she was an inductee into their Founder’s Circle in recognition of her distinctive contributions, outstanding service and long-term dedication and significant impact in furthering the mission of ACUMS.

In retirement Karen plans to spend time with her family, continue her extensive hiking activities and work on her cabin in Utica, New York.
