Community Resources: Legal and Financial Planning For Family CaregiversContributed by Katie Sack on 11/30/17 A workshop on "Legal and Financial Planning for Caregivers" will be presented by Joy Blumkin, Esq. on Wednesday, December 6, from Noon-1:30 PM at the Tompkins County Office for the Aging, 214 W. Martin Luther King, Jr./State Street, Ithaca. Ms. Blumkin, a local elderlaw attorney, will discuss legal issues that affect elderly individuals and their families, especially issues related to planning for the expense of long term care and planning for incapacity (advance directives, guardianship). The workshop is free and open to anyone interested in the topic.
