ICCE - Ithaca College Contemporary Ensemble performs Wednesday, 11/29Contributed by Jorge Grossmann on 11/26/17 ICCE - Ithaca College Contemporary Ensemble performs music by IC Music Composition faculty Evis Sammoutis, and works by Helena Tulve (Estonia) and Jonathan Harvey (UK). Hockett Family Recital Hall Wednesday, November 29, 7:00 p.m. Faculty violinist Calvin Wiersma plays two works by Evis Sammoutis: Monogenesis for solo violin and Taftophonia for vocalizing violinist. The program includes also late British composer Jonathan Harvey's Death of Light/Light of Death and Estonian composer Helena Tulve's Stream 2 played by the ICCE led by Keehun Nam.
Directed by Prof. Jorge Grossmann, Ithaca College Contemporary Ensemble is dedicated to the music of our time with particular focus on the music by living composers from around the world.
