THE SNOW QUEEN at Ithaca's brand new Cherry Artspace!Contributed by Jennifer Herzog on 12/12/17 An original musical w/ innovative puppetry, adapted from the Hans Christian Andersen classic that inspired Disney's Frozen. After a sold-out run last December, The Cherry Arts is thrilled to reprise THE SNOW QUEEN this holiday season. It's the story of Greta, a brave girl on a mission to rescue her best friend Kai from the clutches of the nefarious Queen, encountering along the way a host of crazy and curious characters. Weekends thru December 23 at the brand new CHERRY ARTSPACE: 102 Cherry Street, Ithaca NY (map) (Fridays & Saturdays at 7pm, Saturdays & Sundays at 2pm) The Cherry’s version of Hans Christian Andersen’s classic tale was developed in 2016 over the course of nine months by members of the Cherry Arts company. Ithaca College Theatre Arts students Joshua Altenburg, Megan Schmidt, Lucia Vecchio, and Joshua Wilde perform in the cast, alongside IC alumni Erica Steinhagen ('99) and Jennifer Herzog ('00) Regularly priced tickets are $25 for adults.
