Exclusive to packages with prepaid UPS or FedEx shipping labels, you can come to the book return window around the corner from the Phillips Hall Post Office.

  • If your package is already sealed and ready to ship, just give it to one of our staff. There is no charge! If your label needs to be attached, ask for a free adhesive label pouch. Just make sure you have a copy of your tracking number(s)!
  • If your package needs to be sealed with tape, we will do that for just $1 per package (cash only).
  • If you don’t have any packaging, we can sell you a mailer for $1 (cash only). Just pack up your book(s), close the mailer, attach your label, and we will take care of the rest.

If your shipment requires different packaging

  • You may purchase generic padded mailers from the Post Office for the regular retail price.
  • Don’t forget to reuse your old mailers and boxes. You kept the ones your books originally came in, right? If not, just check the recycling or ask at the Post Office window. But supplies are limited and they run out quickly.

Note that USPS (US Mail) branded shipping products are not permissible for use with UPS or FedEx shipments. The Post Office will not provide you any for this use. If you present a UPS or FedEx shipment in USPS packaging, we will not be able to accept it and your shipment will have to be repackaged.

This service is exclusive to prepaid UPS and FedEx shipments. All US Mail packages, prepaid or otherwise are still handled as normal at the postal window.

NOTE: Package tracking is the responsibility of the sender. Mail Services keeps no records of outgoing prepaid shipments. If you don’t have a copy of your tracking info, just take a pic of your shipping label before you hand off your package to us.
