Voicethread: Learning to Engage Online Workshop Jan 8 -15, 2018Contributed by Marilyn Dispensa on 01/04/18 VoiceThread is an asynchronous, highly interactive tool that allows you and your students to engage with a wide variety of media. Ithaca College has purchased the tool; you and your students can use it at no charge. To learn more about the tool participate in anasynchronous VoiceThread workshop moderated by colleagues from IC’s Information Technology and the Center for Faculty Excellence. During a designated period of time, VoiceThread modules/activities will be available to you online and completed by you on your own time. Here is more information on the workshop, VoiceThread: Beginning to Engage. January 8-15, 2018 (Register) How do I participate? Sign up through the registration link above, attend the orientation session, and we will enroll you in the workshop hosted in SAKAI. A follow-up email with more information will be sent before the activities begin. What will I do? You will complete three learning modules. Each module will take your through a series of activities that allow you to:
When will the VoiceThread training be available to me? The modules/activities will be open and moderated for eight days When do I get into SAKAI and take the trainings? Beginning November 1 or December 6, set your own work schedule, the activities and modules are self-paced and asynchronous. How much time will it take? Each module should take you no more than one hour to complete. The maximum time requirement is two-three hours over the period of nine days What will I learn? The three modules will give you a beginning understanding of the tool and how it can be used with your students. Module 1: Exploring Possibilities
