Assistant Professor Saviana Stanescu (Condeescu) is a presenter for the Theatre Without Borders' Theater and Resistance Symposium at CUNY Graduate Center in New York, and has a play produced in the Women's Voices Theatre Festival in Washington DC.

Additionally, Saviana Stanescu's play Waxing West (winner of the 2007 New York Innovative Theatre Award for Outstanding Full-Length Script) will be presented in the Women's Voices Theatre Festival in Washington DC, produced/directed by the Ithaca College Theatre Arts BFA alum Jordan Friend, with three other Theatre Arts alumni as part of the creative team: BFA in Musical Theatre alumna Alexandra Nicopoulos (lead actress), BA in Theatre Studies alumni Paige Washington (choreographer) and Abi Rowe (stage manager).
