At the luncheon, we continued the tradition of collecting books for The Family Reading Partnership. Family Reading Partnership is a not-for-profit organization that is recognized as a national leader in community literacy efforts serving families of young children aged 0-5. They promote and support engagement of families, schools, and the community around children's books to create a culture of literacy. We will continue the book drive through the end of this month and encourage all employees to consider donating gently used children books to our local community. Books can be dropped of in the Office of Human Resources or departments can email Katie (ksack@ithaca.edu) for pick-up information. Thank you all again for making the Winter Luncheon such a success and supporting our local community. |
