Welcome back reminders for the Spring Semester:

1.      When using the online Travel Authorization Form, you are responsible for selecting the appropriate Authorized Approvers. The form will only be routed to the reviewers you have selected. The form can be saved in Draft form until ready to submit.

2.      If you have an IC issued JP Morgan Travel card, it is best practice to use the card for these reasons (vs. personal funds):

  • Ithaca College receives a rebate from JP Morgan for all Ithaca College credit card usage
  • When using a personal card, transactions are not legally tax exempt.  An individual not using an IC credit card cannot legally use the tax-exempt document.  If one does, it puts the vendor accepting tax exemption status in jeopardy
  • Processing a reimbursement to a faculty/staff member is a very manual process, rather than just processing a credit card reconciliation and issuing a check to the bank
  • Utilizing a personal credit card is holding back an individual’s personal money, using the IC credit card would not tie up that same personal money
  • The process is much more efficient, which also saves IC time and money

3.      Egencia is the preferred method for booking travel. IC automatically receives reward credits for booking with American Airlines and Delta. If using these airlines with another booking tool or directly from the website, please use the following Membership numbers at time of booking whenever possible:

                                                      American Airlines Business Extra: 811505

                                                       Delta Skybonus: US0000806
