Want to have better information about whether our students are learning?Contributed by Doreen Hettich-Atkins on 01/29/18 Measuring student learning is an essential component of our work and dedication to students at Ithaca College. We have an obligation to ensure that the strategies and practices we are using in classrooms and within our co-curriculum are effectively contributing to student learning. As such, the Student Learning Outcomes Assessment Committee offers a website of ever-growing resources to faculty and staff in an effort to support and guide this important work. Within the website, expect to find resources for creating and measuring student learning outcomes, sample departmental learning outcomes, how-to-guides for Taskstream/Watermark, examples of how campus partners are using student learning measures to improve practices, and contact information for members of the community who can lend a hand through this process. We’d love to hear your feedback and requests for additional resources as you use this website. Please contact Doreen Hettich-Atkins with suggestions.
