The Department of Technical Operations in the School of Communications will be hosting a farewell reception for Ellen Diffenderfer on her retirement after 28 years of service on Friday, February 9th in Room 223 – Roy H. Park Hall of Communications from 2 – 4 pm.  

Ellen started her career as an offset and screen printer until 1978 when she entered into broadcast television at WENY TV.  In 1990 she joined Ithaca College as a studio technician offering tech support to classrooms and ICTV.  In 1998 she moved to a Multi-Media Tech support position for computer labs and classrooms in the Park School.   She began her current position as Facilities and Portable Equipment Manager in 2001 where she oversees the scheduling process and supervises a large crew of students who check in and out the millions of dollars of production gear that supports our media production classes. 

Ellen plans on relaxing and enjoying her time off and eventually traveling with her husband to visit family and friends across the United States.
