Insero & Co. are currently recruiting for their Spring 2019 Tax Internship, and will be on campus April 3rd to interview selected candidates. A portion of the position description follows below (apply through Handshake):

We are seeking candidates interested in full or part-time Tax internship opportunities starting in January 2019 in our Ithaca, NY office at 401 East State Street (Gateway building). Must be available to work 20-25 hours per week, or more if available.

Responsibilities:

·         Training on and becoming proficient in our software (ProSystems).

·         Preparing 1099s, W-2s, Individual income tax returns and extensions.

·         Gaining a basic understanding of how tax work flows through the office.

·         Improving basic organization and planning skills.

·         May assist with properly assembling tax returns (Individual, Partnership, and Business returns) in our system making sure that all data is collected and processed in the most expeditious manner. Scanning and uploading Tax documents into GoFileRoom.

Requirements:

Accounting students who are currently enrolled in an undergraduate program and will be in their junior or senior year or enrolled in a graduate degree program during the time this internship takes place are eligible to apply for this position. A minimum 3.25 GPA is required. Students must be returning to school to be eligible. Strong verbal and written communication skills along with strong organizational skills are required. Functional knowledge of the MS Office Suite including Word and Excel are required. The ideal candidate must be able to meet deadlines, be proactive, and have solid multi-tasking skills and strong analytical ability.
