Application process now open for the President’s Fellows ProgramContributed by Wendy Hankle on 02/26/18 The Office of the President is now accepting applications for the President’s Fellows Program. The inaugural cohort of fellows will be comprised of faculty, staff, and students who will serve in this capacity for the 2018-2019 academic year. Applications will be taken online only; the deadline to apply is Friday, March 30, 2018. The President’s Fellows Program is one-year fellowship that will move participants outside of their normal work environment and field to experience a new professional opportunity on campus, develop leadership capabilities, and receive mentorship in an unfamiliar area of interest. Opportunities will also be provided to participants to build relationships with one another, and work collaboratively on projects. President Collado announced the creation of the President’s Fellows Program in November 2017, stating that the initiative stems from her deep belief in investing in the campus community to develop and shape both the future leadership of Ithaca College and the future leadership within the landscape of higher education. The President’s Fellows Program is supported entirely by the president’s discretionary fund, a strategic resource that she is utilizing to support faculty, staff, and students as they explore their potential as learners, educators, leaders, professionals, and human beings. For more information about the initiatives, contact Melissa Daly, chief of staff in the Office of the President, at 607-274-3111 or mdaly@ithaca.edu.
