STILL NEED ACADEMIC WRITING 10600 TO GRADUATE???Contributed by Mary Lourdes Silva on 03/02/18 Academic Writing Online begins July 2, 2018 during Summer Session II. If you're a Junior or Senior, contact me at msilva@ithaca.edu to see if you're eligible for an override.
Academic Writing 10600 Online allows students to complete all assignments, class discussions, and drafts on their own time, at their own pace, on the course management system, Sakai. The site provides students with video content, illustrating the concepts explored and expectations for each major assignment. Within Sakai, students can engage in interactive discussions about the readings and their writing with peers and the instructor. Last, students will receive ample one-on-one attention from the instructor to review each major writing project during Skype sessions. All class levels are welcomed to complete this course. This 5-week course fulfills the standard graduation requirement for Academic Writing 1 and is equivalent to the traditional face-to-face version of the course. Class begins July 2, 2018. For further questions about the course, contact Dr. Mary Lourdes Silva at msilva@ithaca.edu. Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact Mary Lourdes Silva at msilva@ithaca.edu or (607) 269-5359. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible.
