In 2017, women comprised more than 50% of the U.S. population and only held 20.05% of the seats in Congress. In American colleges, the statistics are usually about the same or worse for women serving in elected student government positions. Let's change that! In this workshop, we'll view parts of the recent web series, She's the Ticket; We’ll follow a 23-year-old woman's November campaign for a hotly contested town council position and fight for sanctuary city status. We'll learn about how to choose a campaign platform, connect with your constituent base, and market yourself before a student election.
