Submitted on behalf of the Office of Energy Management & Sustainability Saturday, March 24th at 8:30 PM, join the global movement to switch off your lights and electronics for the 11th annual Earth Hour event. Sponsored by the World Wildlife Fund, Earth Hour started as a symbolic lights-out event in Sydney, but has since grown into the world's largest grassroots movement for environmental action. This year, join landmarks like the Empire State Building, Niagara Falls, the Seattle Space Needle, and the Superdome in what is sure to be the biggest year yet. Participating is easy; just switch off all non-essential lights from 8:30 to 9:30 PM this Saturday. For more information on WWF and Earth Hour, visit the Earth Hour website.
