The Ithaca College Department of Intercollegiate Athletics is proud to participate in the celebration of NCAA Division III Week, which runs from April 2-8.
Ithaca is one of 450 Division III institutions across the country, and most of these institutions will participate in Division III week activities that celebrate the student-athletes.
From the NCAA website - Division III Week was established in 2010 to sharpen the division’s identity and to enable schools and conferences to more effectively explain why they prefer to compete in Division III. The initiative has been guided by a strategic-positioning platform, describing Division III as a place where student-athletes can “follow your passions and develop your potential,” within an approach that combines rigorous academics, competitive sports and an opportunity to pursue other interests.
Ithaca College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) will engage in a friendly “Change War” with other Liberty League institutions against the Empire 8 Conference. The week-long fundraising competition will help benefit the Special Olympics.
